Staffordshire Figures 1780-1840

My feelings are dented! I am an idiot. On June 1, I blogged a figure of St. Sebastian. Read about it by clicking here. The figure was on a website, and it purported to be made by Enoch Wood. After some emailing, the seller wrote me "This piece will go in the junk auction pile, and I'll take my lumps like a good boy. I appreciate your helpfulness on this figure even though the news is not what I would have liked to hear."  Innocent that I am, I declared the seller a Prince of a Man.  Unfortunately, this Kent figure (1890-1962)  remains on the web described as The Real Thing.
