Enamel-painted figures made in Staffordshire from 1810 to 1835 give us rare glimpses of life as it once was.                                                              To hold one is to touch the past.

Myrna Schkolne shares her knowledge of early enamel-painted Staffordshire figures with scholars, collectors, and those who just like beautiful antique objects.  She assists novices and professionals with equal enthusiasm, and at no charge.

Myrna consults on authenticity and correct restoration. She will help locate a particular purchase or guide in dispersing a collection. She can advise on the most trivial issue....but beware! If you want to know a figure's origins or understand the fascinating tale it tells, the answer will not be brief because Myrna has so much she wants you to know too!

Myrna's enthusiasm for early figures is palpable in her writing and lectures. She is a member of the American Ceramics Circle, the English Ceramics Circle, and the Staffordshire Figure Association. Myrna has lectured at the Mint Museum, the New York Ceramics Fair, the Staffordshire Figure Association, the Wolfson Children's Hospital Antiques Show, the China Students' Club of Boston, and the Pottery and Porcelain Club of Providence, R.I.
